I am offering a Qoya inspired movement class on 20th June from 7-9pm in Liskeard. While each class follows the same pillars (https://www.qoyainspiredmovement.com/whats-in-a-qoya-class), the theme is different. The theme for this class is I am Divine.
This class is part of a three day mini-retreat experience which includes a Mary Magdalene themed women's circle on the 19th and a Summer Solstice celebration on the 21st. Come to one, two or all of the events to celebrate yourself and the turning of the wheel of the year!
What is Qoya?
Qoya is an embodied movement practice, based on idea that through movement we remember our essence like nature is wise, wild and free. Qoya means 'queen' or 'wise woman' in Quechuan, and the main invitation in a Qoya class is to listen to the wisdom of your body.
What to expect:
We begin each class with a grounding meditation and pulling an oracle card, followed by setting an intention for your practice. You are invited to go on the journey from your head to your heart and notice the sensations and feelings in your body. Through circling, heart and hip opening, yoga, shadow work, shaking and free dance, your body becomes a portal for your truth, creating space to explore your feelings and emotions as your movement illuminates the way.
There is no way to do Qoya wrong; there is only your way.
No experience necessary.
All bodies welcome.
Bring yourself and an open heart.
